Sunny Day

Today has been wonderful. While I don’t think I am being called to work at a place like Cookson when I get older, I know that this is where I’m supposed to right now.

I’ve learned so much already and I’m so excited to learn more!Meri Whitaker asked each of the staff to take Anna and me somewhere in Oklahoma. I think I’m going to a Pow Wow sometime and Meri said she was going to try and get us to a Stomp Dance, but we have to be invited to that.

Over these couple of days I’ve been putting away the crafts in the store that were taken to annual conference and it’s so awesome just getting to touch everything. The jewelry is beautiful. I can’t imagine how much time is put into each piece because the beadwork is so intricate. After talking to the secretary, I kind of sensed that the crafts and jewelry making are becoming a lost art.

Because I’m extremely tired, I’m going to make this a short one.

Contently,
Meredith
